natural healing through aromatherapy that feels good and smells even better

open heart blends promote holistic wellness practices to heal your body, mind, heart and soul.

my essential oil journey

much like the yoga practice, aromatherapy is a practice of well-being and has a laundry list of beneficial attributes for the body and mind. the use of essential oils for healing can be traced back thousands of years to ancient civilizations using herbs and aromatic plants as medicine. essential oils have a multitude of healing properties such as reducing stress and anxiety, enhancing mental clarity, providing relief for pain and muscle aches, promoting relaxation, and working as a sleep aid. in addition to the physical and emotional benefits, many essential oils also have natural antibacterial, antiseptic, and topical healing properties. for example, lavender and lemon are natural antibacterials and are often used in natural cleaning products. frankincense has anti-inflammatory properties and can help soothe dry skin as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines, scars, and stretch marks. the options for natural healing properties are endless.

after being introduced to essential oils at a young age (thanks, mom), I began incorporating essential oils into my daily life more and more as I got older, primarily to help ease my anxiety. in recent years, I’ve shifted to using essential oils for nearly everything. I began making my own blends to use for headaches and cramps, perfume, and for my yoga practice. what started as a self-care routine slowly shifted into creating blends for family and friends to try and eventually led me to start this small business. through open heart blends, I can share a combined love for natural healing and passion for helping people in hopes of leading others to find their own sense of healing. all of the products offered through open heart blends are created and made by me using 100% therapeutic grade essential oils. these blends can be used for stress and anxiety relief, headaches, cramps, tight muscles, sleep, perfume, room freshener, bug bites, mood boosting, and of course yoga practice - the list is endless. oh, and they all smell amazing. regardless of what your body is needing (or if you want everyone to ask why you smell so good), there is a blend for everyone.
